The Magic Frames is a game created to entertain people. It can be used in escape rooms, teambuildings, laser tag, playgrounds, at company events, etc. The main goal of the game is to read the code hidden in one of the frames. Everything is packed into a medium sized portable suitcase and operates on battery power. The device consists of two frames assembled on the top and the manipulation panel on the bottom of the suitcase. One of the frames looks like a mirror. Players have to find out the way to turn on the backlight of the mirror and get hidden tips. There are two sensors with a control light inside the panel. To activate the backlight players have to hold their hands above the sensors at a particular hight. After the backlight is on, players have hints how to perform the next task. There are 16 sockets on the main panel and 8 cables inside the small bag. The goal and challenge of this task is to place the cables in the correct sockets. It is not even known if all sockets should be connected. Due to so many possible combinations this task can not be performed without any hints. Hints are hidden behind the mirror, they are not just hints but riddles to be solved. After all required sockets are connected, the hidden code will be displayed in the second frame. The code is written with a UV marker and is only visible with the UV light mounted inside the frame. To make this game more difficult the suitcase can be locked with a PIN secured padlock. There is a special handle assembled on the suitcase for the padlock. There are some example riddles provided with the device but the Gamemaster can simply change the content of the frames. The device is also provided with a UV marker. Setting up the required connections between the sockets is also very easy. To do this we simply connect sockets and use a service key to save the settings. It is not important in which sequence the sockets will be connected, neither during the game nor at the configuration stage. The device operates on battery power, if the battery power is too low, the control light will light up red and there will be an audiable signal. A charger is also provided with the device.
